Yes, Western Addition in San Francisco does have alot of crime compared to the rest of San Francisco. Partly this is because it borders the Tenderloin, partly it is just the urban, run down feel of parts of the neighorhood. It has positive sides to it, but crime is a definite negaitive of this area.
