Dell'Anima is my favorite (Jane and Hudson), L'Artussi is their sister restaurant and they're pretty great as well. The Spotted Pig (Greenwich and Jane . .ish) is great in the winter but a bit dark and heavy for summer. Mercadito Grove on 7th and Grove is fantastic. Morandi and Bar Pitti are both good but really trendy. Extra Virgin on Perry and West 4th has a great patio. Corner Bistro on Jane and Hudson is known for their burgers. Mermaid Inn just opened a West Village outpost and they have fantastic seafood with a great oyster selection.
