West Peachtree St Northwest, Midtown

West Peachtree Street is a great destination to avoid a bit of the hustle and bustle of the main city center. With plenty of restaurants and lodging available, it is a perfect home base for your individual or family vacations. One of the highlights of this area is the historical "Fabulous" Fox Theatre, located at the intersection of Ponce de Leon Ave. I am a bit of a cinema buff, but the theatre hosts a variety of events suitable for all ages.

West Peachtree Street is a great street for several reasons. First, it is actually very picturesque and shady for a midtown and downtown Atlanta street. Second, there are a number of nice restaurants in and around the area. In fact, I've taken a carriage ride through Atlanta that included a stretch of West Peachtree and it was a fun and romantic ride. One of the nicest things about West Peachtree is that it is a relaxing and quick way to head north through that part of the City while avoiding the hassle and traffic of Peachtree.

I stayed at the Best Western Inn on this street and loved the location. This street is very clean and is so close to everything. This street is right in the middle of downtown Atlanta and the MARTA stops in this area. The best part about this street is that you are located within a five minute walk to really great diners and clubs. The aquarium is just around the corner and parks are also within walking distance.
