West Kilbourn Ave, Concordia

Kilbourn Avenue is the hub of much of Marquette University's off-campus student housing. I lived just off Kilbourn for 3 years. I even met my husband at a party along Kilbourn Ave. The housing for the most part is old, shabby, and inexpensive. It goes from student housing between N 12th and N 20th streets to lower class/inner city housing past N 20th street. Its not a terribly desirable place to live. Whether its the loud college students or the lack of security felt beyond 20th street, its just not ideal for raising a family. The street is not particulary well-kept due to student's littering. Since its not a major thoroughfare like Wells St or Wisconsin Ave its kind of the neglected parallell street just to the north of those main streets.
