Englewood has had a continued reputation for being unsafe and poor. There are a few things to do in the area but keep in mind that this is a higher crime area.

1. Archibald J. Motley's Former Home and Studio - first African-American painter who successfully portrayed and painted African-American subject matter.
2. H.H. Holmes Mansion (US Post Office)
3. Hamilton Park Cultural Center - beautiful murals
4. Kennedy-King College
5. Taste Entertainment - nightclub with dancing, pay-per-view sporting events
6. Murray Playground Park - in summer they feature "Movies in the Park"
