"Great Shopping Area - Recommend! "

The newly constructed shopping center located in River Plaza which was built a couple years ago on 225th Street is an amazing area.

The people that work around the 22th area are very friendly. You can always get something to eat in the surrounding resturants like Apple Bee's or McDonald's. The streets are always clean and you can also have a good time with friends and get a quick snack easily.

The area is easily accessible using public transportation. You can take the 9 BX, 20 BX, 7 BX, 100 BX and the 1 Train to get there. Overall i rate the area and street a 5 out 5!

"Lots of stores and shops "

So 225th is home to starbucks, marshalls, target , planet fitness and other things. As you probably have guessed this is not the place to raise children . THERE IS NO PLACE TO PARK . However you are very close to metro north and city transportation. Broadway is right down the street as well , on broadway you have acces to numerous shops and stores and IHOP hmmm. On the plus side there is also a school one block up towards kingsbridge. Like i said though there is nothing much for a child to do around here except run around target or hang out in front of the store and that spells trouble to me.

"Convenient, interesting 225th Street"

This street tends to be much busier with traffic than the surrounding area of Marble Hill, which is a bit quieter. There are three good things about this street. One is that it is very convenient to transportation. Metro North stops here, the number one subway is on the corner, and several buses go by, to Manhattan and other parts of the Bronx.

The next good thing about it is that it is convenient to shopping. There is a Target on the next street, along with an Applebee's, Marshall's, and some other stores. There is a Planet Fitness across Broadway.

The third good thing is the great view of the Hudson, Columbia University's Baker Field, and Inwood Hill Park, because this street is right on the North River.

Drawbacks would be that it can be kind of noisy and there can be some drama on the street from time to time, on the corner of Broadway. Not much in the way of nightlife here, but why do you need that when Manhattan is so close by?
