"Historic Charm"
Washington Road in Southeast Atlanta is one of the older, more historic neighborhoods in the area. with that comes all those wonderful things that historic communities have to offer. There is a blend of old world charm in the stylings of the homes; not cookie cutter like so many modern neighborhoods.
Neighbors have known each other for years, and when there are new neighbors, because they look for certain things in the community, they tend to acclimate quite easily. Washington Road is a draw for a variety of people; young urban professionals, families with children, older couples, and trendy stylish folks as well.
With all of the wonderful things Washington Road has to offer, there is an undercurrent of crime that has begun to emerge in recent years. the crime rate has not devastated the community, but there are noticeable problems.
