"Cheaper part of HB"
It is not that I have anything personally against Warner Avenue; it just kind of sticks out like a sore thumb in Huntington Beach. There are all these nice streets filled with fancy houses and gorgeous lawns and then there is Warner Avenue. It is so random. There is a Home Depot, an abandoned Ralph's, a dirty strip mall and then a super nice apartment complex. Then there is a decent strip mall and then a trailer park. And that weird pattern continues all along Warner Avenue (although it does get nicer as you continue along it into Huntington Harbor). True, if you live on Warner, you literally have access to everything as that street houses tons of strip malls, but, it is also very noisy as it is a major street. Some parts of it are clean, but, since it is so industrial and filled with crappy strip malls and abandoned stores, those nicer areas of Warner shrink into the background.
The schools in Huntington are really good and if you live on Warner you would be very close to them. However, you can probably find nicer areas to live in Huntington, unless you are on a very tight budget. In that case, I would try to stick as close to the beach portion of Warner as possible. That area is actually pretty nice, but, then the prices go up. It is a lose-lose.
