Wallingford Ave North, Meridan Park

Wallingford Ave. extends several miles but Wallingford Ave. N. is the portion I'm reviewing. It's a nice street but the best part is that it ends right at Meridian Park. I love that park! It's also right next to a great running track that is available for athletic use and a large field for playing games. This street is great to access fun services like this. I've seen lots of people playing with their dogs in the field. Bring your dog and a ball and have a good time!

I feel totally safe walking alone at night in this neighborhood. Lots of friendly families that will greet you as you walk by. Great for children, they can even walk to the elementary school, as I did for many years. Bus lines are close by to take you to Northgate Mall or Richmond Beach if you need to eat some good food. Fred Meyer is easy to walk to, or stop at the 7-11 for some slurpees! There is a police station a few blocks away so they are always nearby if you need them. The only problem I had here was that there were a lot of rats in the neighborhood, but if you own one of the new houses going up you shouldn't have a problem.
