"Mainly for college kids and Yankee fans."

This neighborhood is somewhat still and does not have much to do than catch a game. Of course for those of us who enjoy this type of activity it is wonderful. The population is mainly Hispanic now so there are a few great places to eat and vibrantly decorated restaurants. I would recommend this area for someone who is retired and looking for a quite place to live. There really is not a lot of crime here from when I was there last and they have great housing. If you are looking to go to a great city college they do have one here that is wonderful and its a great place to concentrate on studying.

"Great Russian Neighborhood!!"

I used to live in this neighborhood with my ex husband who was Russian. It was the best place for me, great food, great shopping and perfect little homes. The subway was not far from where I lived on East 24th street, it was only about a five to ten minute walk. Not to mention it was within walking distance to the beach as well. Of course that is if you don't mind a brisk two to three mile walk, but I loved it so I really enjoyed going every weekend. With that there were also plenty of schools around for the kids and a mall also about two or so miles walking distance. Over all I would definitely live here again if given the opportunity.

"Most amazing street in town"

This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life. When I first moved to Houston it was summer and oh so hot, which means I really did not want to go out in the daytime. Well my aunt who lives there too let me know about Capitol street which is the entrance to the tunnels of Houston. Now I know what you are thinking, tunnels? what is this a catacombs? No it is a great network of underground streets lined with doctors offices, dentists, shops, diners and even hairstylist. The reason for this is that during the summer it is way to hot for business men and women to travel atop and they still need to get all of their personal needs met. This system of tunnels is a great way to beat the heat and to stay on top of the latest fashion trends as well. By the way it is also fully air conditioned so that you won't get over heated and large enough so that you don't' get claustrophobic.

"Great District for Garden Walks"

This street is home to the Bayou Bend which is the former home of Ima Hogg a great philanthropist. The gardens are amazing while the woods are even more spectacular than anything I have ever seen. Everyday thousands of people are aloud to go through this wonderful place and see just how amazing the home of this great philanthropist is. This is the most amazing street in Houston for me and the Bayou is the reason why.

"Home of a great Brewing company"

This street is more of an industrial street and his home to a great brewery called the Saint Arnold Brewing Company. It is a great company that produces an even greater drink for adults. The street is mainly used for this company but on the other end there are a few retail shops but not many to really appeal to a large amount of people. On average this is a really great street even if it is only for that fact that the brewery is on it.

"Great Place for kids"

This is a great place to take your kids when you are on vacation because on this street is located one of the best kids museums in the world. It is called the Children's Museum of Houston and it has amazing things to do for them. Located near by are wonderful diners and also loads of other great attractions for adults as well. That is what makes this street so amazing is that it is so close to others that offer more mature entertainment as well.

"Great street to get around town"

This is one of the many loops that Houston has to offer and can get you to any part of the town with great ease. The Loop is also home to many businesses that are nearby such as dental offices, doctors offices, etc. Located within the loop itself are many housing areas as well that are in a great location near all the latest shopping and entertainment facilities.

"Perfect street for Antiquing"

This is the most amazing street for anyone who is a bargain shopper or who loves to collect all the vintage items they can find. The streets are lined with great shops to browse that carry all you could ever wish for in antiques. Of course some are more expensive than others but for the true antique lover what does a price tag really mean? For those who have the love of antiquing you will find all that your heart desires on this wonderful street.

"Great location and Nature walk Reserve"

This is a great street that on one end has amazing residential properties but on the other has an even more amazing nature walk center. The center is called the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center that has five mile walking trails. It is the greatest place to take the family or even friends visiting from out of town. There is nothing better than a great walk in the forest to make you feel alive and well.

"Excellent dining and shopping in downtown houston"

This is the hub of downtown Houston, the street is home to Hard Rock Cafe and many other wonderful night time spots. The atmosphere is a great one with all the laughter and light coming from all the pubs so no one will be left unhappy. Not to mention this is a downtown street so there are also office buildings, police stations, and so forth near by.

"Great Dreamworld Activities"

This is a great street because it is home to one of the best museums of all time, the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Of course I may be biased since I worked there, but still it is the best museum of all time and they also have great places to eat on this street as well. Not to mention the amazing park right at the end of the street by the museum itself. They even have a train that will take you for a ride around the entire park, how amazing is that?!

"Off the beaten Path"

This is a great back street that you can use if you want to get somewhere in South Houston without really getting on the freeway. I used to drive this road to work every day when I lived in Clear Lake so that I wouldn't really have to get stuck in morning traffic. It really is a great street with wonderful shops and it has great open spaces too at one point. It gives a great view and a great easy morning commute.

"Great Street for the thrill seeker"

Yet another of El Paso's haunted streets that everyone flocks to on Halloween night. It is said that a long time ago a school bus lost its breaks and couldn't stop for the old train tracks that were there causing it to get hit and all the students died. I know its depressing but so many people go there now that the tracks are gone and say that if you go to the top of the street as it is a hill, you put your car in neutral and start to go down right. Well a few second into your drop you feel your car being pushed back up the hill to your original position. Some people have even gone so far as to put baby powder on their car and found small child like hand prints on the hood of it. Now I myself have tried this and believe me your car really does end up being pushed back up the hill somehow and it feels really creepy. This really is a great street for the thrill seeker and has great houses along the way as well.

"Off the beaten path but wonderful"

Another well known and upscale neighborhood street lined with exquisite housing and the occasional business locations. This street will take you all the way up to the mountain where they very wealthy and elite society live. All along this street are great houses that look like they are out of some famous magazine. Of course this street does have one call center on it at the base of the mountain and the occasional dry cleaning shop for all the residents to get their clothing done. Needless to say all the business locations are delicately designed so as not to ruin the glamour of the neighborhood.

"Peaceful and religious"

Elm Street is actually right behind Piedras where I grew up and its a creepy but nice street. I always thought it was funny watching Nightmare on Elm Street while living with the parents. I guess what made it creepy is that there is a castle like church there that has few windows and I just get a eerie vibe from it. Just up the street from that are some dog trainers that have large green vines growing all over their house to cover their windows and practically their front door. I always thought that house looked neat and creepy at the same time. It really isn't a business street so much as a very quiet and beautiful residential area.

"Most Haunted street in town"

Yandell at one time used to be a large cemetery that held all the bodies of the best people in El Paso. Then they decided they needed to move the cemetery and make is smaller so that more residential housing could be built. It was a great idea but I suppose it disturbed many souls because most people who live on this street have had some type of problem with their houses. Every year on Halloween night there are tours of the cemetery to show people that strange things do really happen there. Of course this street also has great housing and of course the best Mexican restaurants in town as well. There really isn't any reason to not want to live on this street since it is such a well known one.

"Bussiest Street in town"

This by far is the most populated street in town, it will take you from North East to Central and to West El Paso. All along this street are shops, restaurants and some gyms are even on a side street, not to mention the apartment complexes that are placed all along it. At any time during the day you will be bombarded by lots of traffic and find an endless list of things to do. They have great shops on this street like Albertson's the local grocery store and restaurants like Jaxon's. This really is a great place to live especially since they have plenty of schools up and down this street too so that families can be in close range to their children.

"Great shopping and entertainment"

This is really a great street to go shopping on there are so many stores to choose from. There are of course housing areas on the side streets but it is mainly a shopping street. Any and every store you can think of is there and restaurants are not in short supply at all. I suppose the reason for all the cafes and restaurants is because this is also where all the large call centers are located here in El Paso too. It is a great street though from here you can get to movie theaters, cafes, and bridal shops even a Lowe's too.

"One of the Oldest streets in town"

This is actually a very neat street, I believe if you drive west bound on this street it will take you into the next city its so long. You can pretty much get anywhere on this street easily with very little traffic. They have great cafes and one gym on this street, mostly some small local bars that the farmers go to on the weekends most students go up to Mesa St. for the better night life. It is a great street to live on especially if you like antiquing, there are great antique shops right near my house. That's the one main reason I love living on this street, well that and there are great Mexican restaurants nearby too, I love Mexican food.

"Friendly, Estate type communities"

This is one of the more wealthy streets in El Paso, most the lawyers, doctors and some celebrities live in this area. It is really beautiful as you drive down this street because all along it are little neighborhoods lined with trees, its really forest like. I love it because El Paso is such a large desert town that it is a great change to see all the trees and well kept lawns they have.

"Best Night life around"

This really is a great street, all up and down the street are clubs, restaurants, shopping centers and the occasional apartment complex as well. It is a great street to live on if you are attending the university here because there are so many shops and bars that you can go out to at night without having to travel far. Although the traffic there is not always the best it is very worth having to find parking and dealing with the occasional traffic jam.

"Quietest place on Earth"

This is the street that I grew up on and there is no better place to live. It is located in the Manhattan Heights district of El Paso, Tx one of the most historical locations in El Paso. There is a great park just two blocks away from my house and a great restaurant down the street. The restaurant has had really famous visitors like boxing champions and even a few celebrities too. This was a great place to grow up and really quite so there was not a lot of violence or anything like that.
