"A bit of residential, culture, sport, education and research on your doorstep."

This road is one of my favourite roads in Altanta. It holds some of the loveliest homes in the metropolitan Altanta area and is conveniently located next to Druid Hills Golf Course, Emory University and Hospital and the historial Fernbank Science Centre and Imax theatre. This is a perfect place to live work, play and explore ! Major streets that take you into Atlanta or Decature are conveniently located.

"A wonderful residential area in a perfect location"

East Clifton road is a lovely well established neighborhood that houses many of the Emory University and Medical Centre staff and faculty. It is conveniently located to Emory Hospital, Egleston Children's Hospital, the Cancer Research Centre and the Centers for Disease Control. Emory University is also located very near to the this neighborhood. The Druid Hills Golf Course sits just a golf ball put away too!

"Vibrant street with great night life"

This street is the place to be on a Friday night. You can easily access this road via Atlanta's Marta Underground Service. There are wonderful restaurants for everyones plalets here and an amazing bar called Eddies Attic that on the surface just looks like a pool room and bar. However, every weeknight local artist come in and play a set or two of music. They even have an open mic night on Mondays. The street is not residential, but does attract alot of young single and couple people. It is a wonderful street to visit.

"The best area for great food and entertainment in South East Altanta"

West Ponce De Leon is fairly commercial, but it does have some housing along its route to Altanta. There are some very nice restaurants located here including an english style pub and the watershed restaurant owned and operated by singer/songwriter, Emily Sailers of the Indigo Girls. The road goes in the heart of decatur and has many lovely shops, eateries and coffee shops all around. Not too far is Eddie's Attic, where many famous singers have launched amazing careers - including the Indigo Girls.

"A very vibrant and fun place to visit in Atlanta"

Anyone who has ever visited Atlanta will include this part of the city in their trip. The road is an extention of Peachtree which goes from the down town area all the way to the far north of the city. It also goes south too, but that is for another review. Lenox square and Phipps Plaza are located on the opposite sides of the road. Both are major shopping malls, Phipps is more elite of the two. Not too many people know this, but singer Elton John also owns a property along one of the many highrise appartments that have been built during the last ten years. There are lots of wonderful bars and restaurants in this area. It is also one of the top areas for those into the bar scene.

"A major industrial and commericial road"

Memorial Drive use to be a wonderful road full of the best restaurants and shopping available for Decatur and Stone Mountian back in the 70's. There was a mass exodus of white working class families beginning in the 80's that left shops and restaurants along the road in an economic crises. Many shops and comerical enterprises still remain in the area, but the major chains and car dealerships have closed. It is sad to see how run down this part of Atlanta has become. The Dekalb Prison is located just off 285 here. Decalb government offices along with a voting precinct can be found on this road.

"A Street with some of the best local restaurants"

As a whole the street is located in a major commerical part of the city. One of Altanta's favourite eating estblishments called Eat's is located here, speciallizing in its famous Jerked Chicken, Southern Vegitables and Iced Tea. An old style cinema is on the left of the street and boasts of playing the cult classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show once a week at midnight. There is shopping available here, fast food restaurants and older housing going back towards Emory. Very trendy and yuppie areas are located just to the north of East Ponce, along North Highlands Blvd. This road is a major gateway into Atlanta.

"An Amazing Area"

North Decatur Road runs through the Emory Community. Emory University is located on the right of the road as you travel to Altanta. Emory University is one of the top Universities in the world. Emory village, a struggling little village has had a come back recently as residents and college students have fought developers from pulling the shopping area down in order to create a more generic shopping area. Housing in the area is a mix of temporary college housing and well established families. It is an afluent area in the greater Altanta area.

"Second half of Stone Mountian Lithonia Road"

This is the second half of the road that leads away from Stone Moutnain and into Lithonia. In parts, the road is a four lane road to accomadate the high amount of communtor traffic. A train track runs along side the road which can cause the ground to rumble unerneath you because of the granite from Stone Mountain that lies beneath. The street is mainly mid-sixty build homes, but a few newer homes are located along the road with a heafty price tag. Lots of open fields lay on eitherside and are used for parks and hourse stables. There is an elementary school near Redan and a few mainline denominational churches in the area too. You have easy access to shopping and a few fast food restaurants.

"A very long road on the outskirts of Altanta"

Stone Mountian Lithonia road is a long that stretches from Lithonia, Georgia up to Decatur Georgia. It is a road filled with small two to three bedroom residential homes that were built from the 1940's, 1960's, but also has newer neighborhoods with homes that are valued in the millions. A once sleepy village, called Stone Mountain, is located on this road. this village consists of arts and craft shops, a few coffee and candy shops, as well as a pizzaria.
