"Ode To Threat Ave."

On the side closer to Cesar Chavez...wait, no, I can't recall a side of this street that didn't seem eery. I'm not really a fan. But there is a good side to all of this. There is a pretty cool soccer park on Treat Ave. I've seen some crazy people around that park though and I have also seen a group of people getting arrested, but I think it's safe actually ON the soccer field...maybe?

"Favorite Part of My Run!"

There is this one part of Peralta where I make sure Kanye West is playing in my head set and I am listening to "I put on for my city" I love to look down at San Francisco from here. It's breath taking, it truly is. I have to run up an extra steep hill to go this way but it's worth it. Then after that it flattens out and I coast through. On my left after I've passed York I come across one of my favorite houses.

"Pleasant Precita Ave."

This will lead you all the way up to Precita Park. There are two corner stores in this area. The one furthest away from the park closer to Bryant is where I liked to buy Carnival Flavored skittles. I once hid a pack under the swings at Precita Park for a child to find the next day. On the other side of this park there are a few lovely breakfast places:)

"A Bad Dream"

You know that dream you have when you are running from something scary and you just seem to be going so slow? This is how I feel walking down this street at night, it's poorly lit. During the day it's nice, but the stretch right before Costa St. is a bit much in the dark, it just never seems to end.

"Good memories on Lyon St."

I can't remember the cross street, but as I turned onto Lyon from there, there were literally two golden lions on someone's stairway. I have seen it at night, I felt beyond safe. The whole vibe of the street is just bliss. And I have seen it in the morning, it was beautiful. I visited there to see a pretty girl from Sweden. She was renting a house for a few weeks. The morning she left was not so good, but of no fault of Lyon St. Miss you Michelle.

"Random Racoons and I dare You To Find Parking!"

I swear, I was walking back from Nazario's on Geary and I saw a family of Racoons. I wanted to die! There was random construction going on all of the time the last I checked and it's ALWAYS LOUD because of it. Oh and I DARE you to find parking on that street. Gotta love the signs with the absurd time slots and "new construction hours for parking" written on paper, taped above a spot you can possibly park in from "9am-9:05am....maybe. If we're feeling good."

"Oh The Lex"

My home away from home, right where 19th St. and Lexington Meet. If you are a girl who likes girls you know what I'm talking about. I've spent a lot of time on Lexington St. in the alley behind the bar...talking and what not, watching friends smoke, avoiding the smoke. Sidenote: Don't try to play music here, I playd my guitar once and started singing and this woman FREAKED OUT. it was the softest music too. And of course a big shout out to the bar I always end up somehow some way, The Lexington.

"The Monster or all Monster Hills"

I'm talking about York on the OTHER side of Bryant. The Bernal Heights Side of Bryant. This hill has made me its slave on many an occasion. There is also a troll at the top of this hill. I won't go into further detail about that, it's an inside joke. I found different route eventually for when I go down to the Mission...which is always. But I often enjoy going this way with friends and family when they come to visit so they think I'm a stud for walking this way everyday. Tee hee.

"Not the kind of Holladay you pack for..."

There is this one stretch on my run, the first stretch in fact and that's Holladay Ave. It's very hard to run on so I often run in the middle of the street. There's a fork in the road when you come to York, you can go up York or stay on Holladay. At that point you see shady vehicles parked on the street, the kind I run faster by. To add insult to injury, on weekends there is a house with the LOUDEST most awful dogs on the planet. Everytime I run by them I know they are going to bark and everytime their barking gets creepier and creepier. It always scares me. Not a fan of Cujo Ave.

"Costa Costa Baby!"

I love my home. I wish their was a section for "lovely view" here. We can see the water from our back yard. Random, hidden parks where you can grow vegetables if you so please. Lots and lots of VERY steep hills. I myself am training for a marathon and running these hills is brutal, but when I get on flat land I'll be happy! And I shall defeat the competition. Ok, kidding. But my street is grand. I love it!
