Marmion Street

"Peace, quiet and the sound of crashing waves"

Just a hop skip and a jump away from the beautiful Cottesloe foreshore. Great wide street with minimal traffic. Close to the centre of Cottesloe, but not embroiled in the hassle of the city centre. Lots of exclusive properties and most of the renovations have recently been completed making this a very liveable street. Close to most ameneties, but local transport network is poor. Great place to live if you have the cash.

Hackney Street

"Sea change with everything"

Kalbarri is a great town, perched on a penninsula overlooking the ocean and river inlet. Fantastic people, extremely friendly and accomodating. Great neighbours. Everything is close to everything. Kalbarri caters well for tourists, so the locals gain great pubs and restaurants. I love this street, the atmosphere and the sound of a million children playing

Kalbarri is one of the nicest places I have visited - it has a wonderful atmosphere and great sunsets... seemingly there is an enormous water reservoir under the caravan park that has the best water that I have ever tasted! Profits from the sale of the water are used to develop the waterfront - this was four years ago - things may have changed. Prince Leonard of the Hutt River Province lives about an hour or two away - the biggest autonomous state within Australia and he'll stamp your passport with the Hutt River Province stamp. November time is the time for wildflowers and I hope to get to see them in bloom some time. Good fish and chip shop down where the fishing boats are...

Chipping Road

"Ocean views, highway fumes"

Chipping road is the premier Western facing road overlooking the ocean in middle City Beach. Unfortunately as well as overlooking the magnificent ocean, it also looks directly onto the increasing busy West Coast highway. Public transport is excellent as it is on a bus route and has direct access to the highway, Hale road and the Boulevard. Although the views are excellent, the harsh Western sun, the traffic noise and the stiff ocean breeze make for slightly uncomfortable living. Many of the houses in the street have been extremely well designed to cope with these problems, and at the end of the day, gazing over a 180 degree unobstructed ocean view is extremely appealing

Oban Road

"A street with two aspects"

Oban road is essentially divided into two sections. Firstly there is the inclined portion running West to East away from Chipping Road with great ocean views, elevation and bordering Kapinara primary school playing fields. Lovely feel to this street with lots of children playing and adults keeping fit! The second aspect of the street runs North to South inland and directs the local traffic to a fantastic local park with huge open spaces, great playing area for the kids, outdoor dining and the local Boulevard shopping complex with all facilities. Overall a great street close to everything and with most of the houses boasting great ocean views, park views or at least proximity to great local ameneties

Hastings Street

"Close to everything"

Long street running parallel with the West Coast Highway extending from City Beach border to Scarborough Beach road. Diverse mix of dwellings including a lot of flats which are 20-40 years old. Some new development which range form small to very large to take advantage of the undulating nature of the road to gain Ocean views. Peppering of good parks along the roadside great for kids. Great access to Scarborough and the West Coast Highway as a route to the City or Fremantle.

"East to West"

Long street running West to East from Scarborough through to Wembley Downs, interrupted by Weapness road with a 'no through road'. West end of the street is quiet and calm with close proximity to parks including Butlers reserve, and with the beach in walking distance. East side of the street is a lot busier acting as a thoroughfare for morning traffic.

"Suburb to suburb"

Stretching from Scarborough to Wembley Downs, this road runs parallel with Weaponess road. As such it has local traffic only, and provides easy access for all public transport, great primary schools, dining and recreational facilities without the incumbent noise and increased traffic flow. Road surface desperately needs a redo. Great parkland at South end of street with Wembley Downs Football club grounds in Butler reserve.

"Scarborough/ City Beach Border"

Right on the boundary at the Northern end of City Beach. Great East to West street on top of a rise with great views to the North and West. Still waiting for the power lines to be put underground, but thankfully the local service exchange now runs ADSL 2+. Fantastic views from the street and close to great parks and schools with Hale only 10 minutes walk away. Oh the beach llife

"Top of the world"

On the rise out of Buderim, a fantastic street. Inland and ocean views from the top of the street. Rain forest reserve for great walks and wanderings. Traffic, increased in the last few years and with the removal of some of the original Queenslanders the street has a different feel, but still inviting and friendly. Great for kids to live in the street but very little for teenagers to get involved with. Thankfully there is good local transport to the surfing and nightlife hotspots...

"Natural curve delights"

Central City Beach. Partially redeveloped with new houses on the Western aspect taking in the Ocean panorama and inland views. Perfect corridor for the Fremantle Doctor for a cooling change. Friendly neighbors, but lots of recent changes make it harder to stay in touch

"One street away from happiness"

South City Beach living. With the West Coast Highway away to the East, this great street is only one street away from the sand dunes and the beach. It is a long loping street with occasional elevation. Can be pretty hot and stifling in summer as the onshore breezes do not always clear the heat from the dell pockets. Pretty good services for a pocket by the sea. Becoming more unaffordable as the older houses are knocked down to make way for the new big beasts which command great views. If you love a surf, then this is the street for you. Great dog walking beach nearby (next to the nudist beach!)

Doepel Street

"Inner city with views"

Great street. Series of flats overlooking the Swan River. Watch the dolphins from your balcony, take a walk to the jetty to launch your boat (or in my case...the canoe), picnic in the park. Have to travel in the car to get to the heart of fremantle, over the bridge, but again worth it because the return to tranquility of the street is so inviting. Parking can be a problem in the evenings, especially for visitors.

"Elevation and views"

If you like living on a 45 degree angle, then this is for you. The beauty about being at the top of the cul-de-sac, is the view. WOW. Straight accross to the city. Great breezes on those humd afternoons, then a hop skip and a jump down the hill to the services of Windsor. Great for kids with the local snakes in the park!

"Heart of Ascot"

Great street. Centre of Ascot. Close enough to the racecourse, trains, schools and Racecourse Road to be only a stones throw away, but with the elevation and distance to be secluded.

Lancaster Road

"Things Change"

Lancaster road used to be an exclusive address. Traffic however has built and built, blocks have become smaller, flats become prominent and noise is now a problem. Still nestled in the heart of ascot it is still close to a great school, and close to local shops with a great restaurant, but the increase in traffic has detracted greatly from the street appeal

"Central but noisy"

Having lived in this street for a few years, I appreciate two things. The usefulness of a central location and the beauty of peace and quiet. This street is certainly central, with walks to a large local park, shopping centre and local shops with all the necessary facilities, but the persistence of the train noise, even with the sound barriers in place is unbearing

"Now you are talking"

This has to be one of the most magnificent streets in the world. Houses rest on one side of the street, overlooking the river and ocean, nature reserves, restaurants on the river...just amazing. Best private schools in Perth, bowling club, boat launches....and all nestled on a hillside cliff overlooking the water. Magnificent street.

"Tranquillity"

Wow, great street. Located in the heart of arguably the premier suburb in Perth is this beautiful and well maintained street. Not a hair out of place, everyhting is trim and neat with beautiful houses. Can hear a pin drop it is so quiet. Walk to great shops and restaurants or take a stroll to the river. Not particulalry elevated but still manages to get enough of a breeze to brush out the warmth of summer.

"Family friendly"

Central floreat street with character. Bounded with federation character homes, and newly developed plts, this is a great central street. Good access to transport and schools, only a short stroll to Cambridge street with restaurants and services. Short drive to Selby street and Hay street with direct access to Subiaco central and the City Centre. Quiet enough to enjoy the serenity of the mature gardens, but close enough to appropriate ammenities for high quality living. Great street.
