I havent lived on that street for over 30 years. I was married at the address 40 years ago. It was my folks first home. It was small but special

AJ Hi peg4blues

I loved your review!! Short, but reminded me of my first home 20 years back :) Have you got any pics of the street 40 years back?

peg4blues Probably will have to go through all my old pictures, but my nephew went there a few years back and he said it looks the same. It was my parents first home since we moved there from New York and always lived in Apartments. So for the first time in 16 years I had my own bedroom but I moved when I turned 18 to get married. Peg

AJ Amazing how houses look the same after a long time. I drove past my childhood hope a few months back, and not much had changed, except a coat of paint, and a few larger trees.

AJ If you want a review for Stanley Avenue in NYC, maybe best to post a topic on the NY boards! You never know who might be watching :)

"I lived there as a kid"

I was born in Brooklyn and lived on Stanley avenue most of my kid years. I have such fond memories of the project. Johnnie the iceman with his italian ices, mom throwing down dimes for me to get a cone. I would love to hear from anyone that lives there now to let me know how this street is doing. Thanks Peggy
