"Nothing going on here"

This street is basically a back alleyway with a few houses and where some Fillmore restaurants have side entrances for deliveries. It spans only 2 blocks and is one way heading west. The street is very narrow and does not feel like it is even in a city. I used to walk my dog down there sometimes to avoid noise and traffic and to let her off leash a bit.

"Alot to offer a variety of people"

FIllmore starts out in the Marina district, which is very yuppy. Lots of expensive homes and apartments which are built on man-made land and waiting to fall into the harbor when the next big quake hits. As you move up the hill it gets more sophisticated in Pac Heights with nice restaurants and shops. As you head down the hill through Pac Heights you cross over Geary St. and get into Japan town and the Jazz district - this area can be dangerous. The next area you hot is the lower Haight - hippy central with plenty of ethnic food to offer.

All in all, this street has something for everyone if you visit the section that best suits you! It has many restaurants and shops.

"Pierce and Sutter neighborhood"

There is a quaint corner store at Pierce and Sutter streets in the residential neighborhood with scattered shops. This section of Pierce St. starts and ends with Hamilton Rec Center and Alta Plaza Park. Hamilton Rec center is pretty small and does not allow dogs, but Alta Plaza is one of the nicest parks in the city with great views and regular dog visits. It is at the top of Pac Heights and overlooks the bay. Pierce Street is residential with nicer houses the closer you get to Alta Park, which is a steep uphill climb.

"Busy one way street"

I used to live on Bush St. right by the Fillmore St. intersection. It does get busy during peak times, but it is a great way to shoot downtown to the financial district. It is mostly residential and is on the lower cusp of Pacific Heights neighborhood getting closer to Japan town.
