"Really been built up in the past 10 years"

Chesterfield Airport Road was once under water (during the 1993 flood) but now is flourishing with tons of shopping centers. As the name says, the Airport Road borders the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in West County and runs parallel with I-40. There are numerous restaurants to choose from (try Annie Gunn's if you can afford it). This part of the St. Louis area is home to quite a few millionaires and if you want to venture a bit north of Chesterfield Airport Road, you can check out some of their outstanding houses. Believe it or not, I ran into Albert Pujols and his family twice at the Wal Mart on this road!

"Great location but a little pricey!"

Clarkston Road is located in West County and runs between I-40 and Manchester Road. There are numerous excellent restaurants located on Clarkston as well as the Chesterfield Mall which allows for great shopping. The residents are upper middle class to high class, as you will notice by the quality of housing. Because it is not in the heart of downtown but has easy access to some major roads, Clarkston is a great location to live (if you can afford it) or visit. It is a very safe area.

"Worst traffic in St. Louis---But has everything!"

Manchester Road runs all the way from the Wildwood/Chesterfield area (actually way past but this is just for the STL area) to downtown St. Louis. It is a LOOOONG road and on any part of it you will be in bumper to bumper traffic. I hate driving on it but anything you need can be found on this street. I'd guarantee that any shop, restaurant or major department store in the St. Louis area could be found on this road eventually. If you like authentic Italian pizza, I would highly recommend Faraci Pizza at 15430 Manchester Road.
