"Suburbia with city perks!"
This section of Mill Road begins on the north side of Woodbridge Avenue and wraps back onto Woodbridge Avenue via Candy Court and used to overlook Route 95, the NJ Turnpike.
A sound wall was put up years ago to quiet the traffic noise. the result is a cul-de-sac of sorts that makes for peaceful, away-from-it-all living.
there is very little traffic coming through because the street just wraps back onto Woodbridge as I said above. Kids play in the streets and most families have pools.
We liked the spot because the entrance to Mill road has small strip malls on either end. One side has a "Quick" conveninece store. The other side has a convenience store, a laundromat, a dry cleaner, a bagel/breakfast shop, a chinese restaurant, a pizzaria and a day spa. Route 1 shopping is less than a minute away, but it's great to be able to walk to the store in a pinch.
Middlesex County College is right across the street for young adults and continuing learners.
The street has been recently paved and the one less-than-desirable house is being renovated.
Lighting could be a bit better, but it makes for great star gazing!
There is a wonderful mix of nationalities and everyone generally gets along.
