"Cleveland Innis area"

It is a strange place. I deliver pizza in the area and spend a large amount of time here. Highlights ...well, it is on the bus line and cheap shopping is at the Northern Lights Shopping Center. Restaurants are mostly fast food. Downfalls. No gym near by. Crazy and incompetent drivers. A LOT of pedestrian traffic that is also crazy and incompetent. Nothing BUT fast food for the most part. A fairly high crime area. Points of interest...there is a church at Huy and Cleveland, behind it is a small burial area for mostly the Innis family or so it appears. Also interesting is that it is a very culturally diverse area. Some of the regular vagrants are interesting and that it is VERY well patrolled by police. There is always a rubber neck opportunity. Dangers- At the Cleveland Innis Plaza ( at the Dollar General end) there is a passageway leading to the back of the shopping center or to Innis Road. Be very careful when turning this corner because it is a blind. Honk loudly first. And behind Northern Lights is a service rd and it has a pothole as you approach Walford that has taken on a life of its own and will kill you. Also in that same area just before the pothole it becomes flooded. You can not see either of these pitfalls at night unless you turn on your high lights. I recommend Bob's tires if you need a tire but not the garage adjoining for other work. I highly recommend both Autozone ( 3636 Cleveland Ave) and Advanced Auto parts (Ferris and Cleveland) FYI, while I work in this area, I do live in North Linden. I love my home, for good or bad. But I'm glad I have a very large dog with very large teeth.
