"Loving Bayberry Dr. so far"

I've lived here about a month, but have lived in the Chapel Hill area for better than 10 years so this is my experience so far:

The Good:
- Neighbors brought welcoming brownies. Nice.
- Lots are large and have lots of old growth.
- Homes are unique. This is about as far as you can get from a cookie-cutter neighborhood.
- Proximity to UNC campus. It's a 10 minute drive to park for basketball games.
- Super easy access to Southern Village (Weaver St. Market, restaurants, gym, preschool, pediatrician, farmer's market, movie theatre, etc...)
- Easy access to Franklin St., Hwy 54 and 15-501 shopping.
- Morgan Creek. Bayberry runs along Morgan Creek and there are trails that run alongside for quite a distance. It's truly beautiful back there.
- Tax rate. The tax rate on the Bayberry side of Morgan Creek is a county rate so we pay about 1.2% vs. 1.8% on the other side of the creek, and our kids still go to the Chapel Hill city schools.
- No HOA. Do what you like and live how you like without asking permission for every little thing.

The Bad.
- Accessing I-40 or I-85 takes a good 15 minutes. Distance to the airport is about 30 minutes.
- County status means we pay for garbage pickup and don't have streetlights (but we can see the stars)
