"Nice houses - Freeway Drone."

Cascade street has some superb houses, especially at the Bullen Rd end where the block sizes are big with tennis courts. BUT you do hear a drone of the nearby freeway in outside areas.

"Head of the Dragon"

Doncaster is considered by some a lucky place to live in feng shui due to its high position looking down on the city (hence the Head of the Dragon). It also has great shopping with the Doncaster shopping center nearby and a multitude of restaurants. Close to Box Hill shopping center and the CBD via the freeway. You need a car to live here or it is the buses for transport.

"A Great Address in Kew."

Sackville Street is one of not only Kew's best addresses but all of Melbourne's. A beautiful, tree-lined wide street with grand older-style properties. The street passes Carey Baptist School - a co-ed private school. Traffic can be a problem around school times but some homes have larger front yards than an average house block so the noise probably is negligible for them!

Streets surrounding Sackville St are also very nice, my picks would be those between Cotham Rd and Sackville St with a bit less through-traffic.

"One of Balwyn's Best Streets"

One of Balwyn's finest streets, wide, leafy with imposing houses. Surrounded by some nice dead-end streets with similar aspects. Properties are mainly older-style mansions (70-80 years old) with good street appeal as well as some newly built houses. A few properties a bit over-grown and in need of a 'Grand Design' type of overhaul but that just adds to the charm of the street.

"Melbourne's Best Kept Secret?"

Eaglemont is a beautiful suburb, leafy/green, close to the CBD via the freeway. Some interesting architecture that appeals to those in the arts, lots of green spaces between the houses (some empty blocks were mandated when the suburb was born) that will appeal to garden-lovers. A major hospital (Austin) is 1 minute away.

Only downside is many homes on the best streets are on steep blocks and it is a bit far from the private-school belt in Hawthorn/Kew/Canterbury limiting schooling options IMO. Ivanhoe grammar or the public schools are some local options.
