About Me

I am a full-time REALTOR & RE/MAX GREEN SPECIALIST focusing on residential & investment properties (single family homes, townhomes/condominiums and investments) throughout Boulder County. I am a pro-active Broker Associate within the dynamic local real estate market, while being forthright and organized in my communication, and tireless in my commitment to my clients.

To further my own knowledge that I may better serve my clients, I have also received the following designations:

GRI - GRADUATE REALTOR INSTITUTE - Additional coursework in legal issues, contracts, appraisals, financing, new home construction, as well as marketing.

ABR - ACCREDITED BUYER REPRESENTATIVE - Additional coursework and successful transaction experience as a buyer's agent. This additional learning allows me to accurately tune into the specific needs and concerns of all types of buyers - first-time, repeat, or investment.

CNE - CERTIFIED NEGOTIATION EXPERT - Additional coursework & training in increasing communication skills and managing expectations within a number of different negotiation situations.

ECOBROKER - Additional coursework and testing on green features and home energy efficiencies that will benefit both buyers and sellers, as well as the planet.

GREEN - The newest designation from the National Association of Realtors with coursework in highlighting and identifying "green features" in buying and selling residential properties.

BGBG - A member of the Boulder Green Building Guild, which is a network of green professionals offering on-going courses and updates on the latest green products and developments in the building industry.

I first moved to Boulder in 1988 from my hometown of New Orleans to attend the University of Colorado. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Environmental Conservation, and went on to receive an Master's of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Education from Southern Oregon University. I applied these degrees as an Environmental Educator/teacher for a number of years as an instructor with Outward Bound and the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). I have also been a professional whitewater kayaker, outdoor educator, freelance writer/photographer, and a senior editor of two paddling magazines (www.DunbarHardyCreative.com).

I am drawn to living in Boulder because of its vibrant & inspired community and the wonderful outdoor recreation opportunities. It truly is a unique place in the world to live! Please contact me and I would be glad to answer any local real estate questions you may have. I look forward to supporting your real estate needs however possible. Thank you for your time and consideration!

"Lyons, Colorado - Gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park"

The quaint town of Lyons, Colorado (~2,000 population) is pleasantly located literally at the foot of the mountains at the confluence of the North St. Vrain and the South St. Vrain Rivers set beneath dramatic sandstone cliffs. Lyons is located ~12 miles north of Boulder and ~7 miles west of Longmont both easy commutes if needed. Downtown Lyons features numerous quaint shops, restaurants/local brewery, and community-spirit. The neighborhoods surrounding downtown feature a mix of older/quaint bungalows, some newer/larger construction homes on the hillsides, and even a few newer town homes. Abundant outdoor recreation can be obtained literally out-the-front door with whitewater kayaking on the St. Vrain River at the man-made rapids and slalom course, as well as miles of trails for running/walking and mountain biking in Hall Ranch & Heil Valley Open Space. Lyons is also home to Planet Bluegrass, and features a very talented local pool of musicians that play at numerous summer music festivals/events. Summer is definitely the busy season in downtown Lyons, as travelers heading to to Rocky Mountain National Park (~30 minutes drive) pass right through the heart of town.
