I really loved living in Ahwatukee, Arizona! It is a family friendly, clean neighborhood with many new homes and business. It is a really clean part of Phoenix and is considered to be one of the "better" neighborhoods.
Ahwatukee has a trendy kinda feel to it and many of the people living there are young families.
It has certainly grown in the past five years with tons of new stores and businesses. The shopping is fantastic! You really don't have to drive too far to find anything you could possibly want, from a gourmet wine shop to great chicken tacos, Ahwatukee has it all. The only downside is that it has become a bit congested and during peak times, traffic is really bad.
My neighbors were all very friendly. Some were a bit reserved but we all looked out for each other's homes, kids and pets. My house was near a busy street, so there was a bit of traffic noise but not enough to bother us.
All in all, Ahwatukee, AZ was on of my favorite places to live and I would move back there in a heartbeat!

I have to say I do love my street. My neighbors are all pretty friendly and watch out for each other. There does tend to be a bit of traffic but nothing overly crazy. We have wireless internet that works ok, not the greatest, but what are you gonna do? Technology these days is spotty everywhere. I am close to shopping and my favorite coffee hang out, so that makes me really happy. My kids love it here because they have friends that live a few streets over that they can play with. I think it is a great street for living in California. It is not brand new or spotless, like new neighborhoods if Phoenix I have lived in before, but it is decent and I feel comfortable raising my children here.
