"Close to fun, away from the city"

Townline road is where i spent most of my childhood. Not too far away is the Big and Little trapp river, along with small ponds that dot the area, and a old quarry, which is now privately owned.

Home to (ofcourse) the Trapp River Golf Club. Decent swimming holes arent too far away, the neighborhood is small, in the country, and, not overdeveloped. A couple of farms dot the area.

In the summer there is swimming, trout fishing, crawdad fishing, and golf to play.

About 2-3 miles away is a sports club that is right next to a bar called brother j's, so there is a lot of fun to be had there for the adults. my favorite is their volleyball tournaments.

Brother J's serves a good fish fry.

On townline, there is a tree farming business. Near townline there is a church.

The road was paved about 4-5 years ago. Some of the roads that connect to townline are not paved though. Most of the roads in that area are still gravel.

When I was growing up there where quite a few neighbors that would spend time with us. it's a very friendly neighborhood. The best part of townline road for children is the open fields and small woods not too far from townline road. for most houses the woods im referring to would be out your back window.

It's also very easy access, Highway WW is very near by. WW runs either directly into eastern wausau (through riverview) or to Merrill, which is about 20-25 miles away.

Townline is more secure as a neighborhood than others in the area. the chance that townline is going to dramatically change in the next 30 years is very unlikely.

"Good place for families in the country"

Mathie is very underpopulated. their are currently about 12 homes on mathie. other than that mathie is studded with 5 farms. Mathie is close enough to town to not be inconvienent, but far enough away to see the stars at night and be truelly in the country. the only noise is the highway, 52. Their is 2 business's, K-4 construction and a private ambu van garage.

The road was poorly maintained untill this year, whe mathie got repaved. Mathie's true claim to fame, besides the residents for which the road was named, the mahtie's, who have been farming here since before there was a road, is a farm about 1/4 of a mile away that has produced the worlds best milk producing cow in the world for a long time. She is finally retired. Mathie is near 2 restaurant/bar(s).

Chico's is known for their fine mexican cuisine. the waiting area is a little cramped, but it's worth it for the good eats.

JaMar's is known for the best french fries around, and decent fish fry on fridays.

Mathie also has a church on it and connects to Hwy Z where the Town of Wausau Garage is at the corner.

The future for mathie could go 2 ways. Mathie has a real chance of eventually being a part of a suburb of wausau known as Riverview. Riverview is where the elites have their houses. most of which are no less then 500k per home.

The other possibility which in some ways connects to the first, is a road is being considered that would connect the west side of wausau, which is currently a 15-20 minute drive to the east side of wausau either through riverview or close. this road would come out to 52, about a mile or mile and a half from mathie.

Both would be good for the financial value of property on mathie, but one has the possiblity to make mathie no longer truelly be in the country, which is why we live here.
