"Quiet, established neighborhood"

My wife and I moved from the San fernando Valley six years ago to this neighborhood. What a difference in our stress level. The S.F. Valley has constant noise of jet aircraft overhead, barking dogs, police and fire sirens, overhead helicopters, and heavy traffic. The Vista Ridge area, which is off of Wiley Cyn and Lyons Ave, is quiet, serene and very peaceful. The neighbors that we have met are friendly, but generally keep to themselves. We have a home owners association which has very low fees per month, and they do a great job maintaining the community pool and tennis court. Because we are on a ridge, we have beautiful mature trees and well kept hillsides. Most of the homes on our side of the street, have a canyon behind our backyards, (which is owned by the Edison Company) which gives us a tremendous amount of privacy. Past our home at the top of the ridge is a change in street name to Vista Hills Drive. This street has custom built mini mansions fashioned with individual architecture representing french style, Italian style, spanish style, etc. Our Vista Ridge area has 151 homes, and was built in 1978. The pricing on homes in our area are a far greater value than what one would pay for comparable homes in the S.F. Valley. Another serendipity of living here is how close the freeway is, a mere 2 minutes away! There is plenty of Grocery stores, restaurants, and retail stores within a mile or two from our street.
