"Excellent town for families and retirees."
I've lived on and off in NWA for 25 years and 10 in Bentonville. And in the 10 years I've watched Bentonville grow from a nondescript tiny corporate town to a thriving art and culture community and continuing to grow. My husband and I like the amenities of bigger cities but we are very comfortable here. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is free and amazing! They also host fantastic exhibits all over town. The school are very good and continuing to improve. There are many miles of mountain biking trails throughout the area. It's a very bike friendly town. The traffic is not improving, but there are plans for positive improvements. This is a safe town. At it's worst, it's so cute and comfortable that sometimes we refer to it as our bubble. And it is not very culturally diverse. But I find my neighbors to be intelligent and open minded, usually. And it is continuing to grow in diversity. Politically you'll find both both parties represented here. Aesthetically the downtown square and outlying neighborhoods are renovated and smart. Quite a bit of historical renovation happening now along with new modern architecture, though most Bentonville neighborhoods are slightly craftsman style, or transitional. We are being relocated, but remember this as our home.
