"Quiet, quaint yet connected to the Historic city."

We are located directly across the street from the College of William and Mary and a seven minute walk to the Historic Area of Colonial Williamsburg. Our street and neighborhood consists of families with young children, college professors, retired military, families with teenagers and some widowed who rent out rooms to the local college students. There is a wonderful mix of everything. We are located on a cul de sac and are surrounded by trees, natural plants, deer, numerous birds and assorted wildlife. Because we do live in the Historic Area we have certain restrictions placed on us such as chopping down trees, what colors our home can be, no strange lawn ornaments, ( that means no pink flamingoes) and no major exterior changes without approval of the ARB. It DOES keep the value of our homes high and tourism keeps our property taxes low. There are many activities for locals and tourists alike: concets on the square all summer, First Night celebrations, Fouth of July picnics, visitng autors, live performances and the list goes on. There are a few new nightlife spots, but not as many as the 20 year old crowd would like. They have to travel to other cities to find entertainment. There are many wonderful restaurants that have been around for years as well as a few brand new to our area.

We are small city of 11,000 people in the Historic Area. We have great service from our city, wonderful libraries, top notch schools both private and public, a safe environment where you can leave your home for the day and not bother to lock your door.

Outlet malls and several new shopping developments are minutes away. Busch Gardens is less than a fifteen minute drive as is Water Country. We are also a short drive away from Jamestown and Yorktown which comprise the Historic Triangle. We are a lot like New England without the cold snowy winters. Numerous golf and tennis courts as well. Many churches to welcome you and a host of volunteer opportunies await you.
