"Bad and dangerous street - keep your children safely away."

Stone Street is not a very friendly street in Mineola. Although the local police presence has improved along many of the streets in and around the neighborhood, there is still an increasing problem with drugs and crime. Stone Street, along with several neighboring streets, has earned a bad reputation for its easy illegal drugs and its bootleggers.

"Quiet street right outside city limits."

Inwood Street sits right outside the city limits of Mineola. Unlike its neighbor, Kevin Drive, Inwood Street is quiet, clean, and peaceful. Lined with nice brick homes, this street runs north from E. McDonald St/Hwy 49 to Ivey St/Farm Market Road 1254. Inwood is just minutes from the Civic Center area and from all the local shopping centers. This is one of my favorite streets, with its abundance of trees and the many open fields. Inwood Street would be a great place for anyone to call home!

"Heavy traffic during school months."

West Patten Street appears to be a very nice neighborhood, nice homes, quiet people, and clean yards. The trouble when considering West Patten Street as a place to call home is the fact that the Mineola Schools are at the west end of the street, which means extrememly heavy traffic from mid-August to late May. Perhaps it is the proximity to the schools that cause most of the residents here to seem to prefer keeping to themselves, but once you get them talking, they are very friendly.

"A great place for History lovers."

Right in the heart of downtown Mineola, North Johnson Street boast buildings well over 100 years old! North Johnson, alone, has nearly a dozen State and Local Historical Markers. The local Chamber of Commerce sits on the corner of North Johnson and Hwy 80/ West Broard Street, eager to greet visitors. 80 years old, the Select Theater is the oldest continuous operating theatre in the state of Texas and still offers films on weekends. North Johnson Street has everything from shopping to residential, a gazebo to the Fire Department. This street is easily one of the most enjoyable streets in Mineola!

"Busy street close to everything."

West Kilpatrick Street runs parallel to Broad Street/Hwy 80 in Mineola. Along this busy street there can be found a gas station, and a doctor's office, along with many residential homes. Shopping, dining and entertainment experiences are all just blocks away. West Kilpatrick Street is frequently used to bypass the red lights in the downtown area and to get from the west side of town to other points off the main road, therefore this is one of the busiest residential streets on the west side on Mineola.

"Noisy and crowded."

Kevin Drive, locally known as Kevin Street, is a deadend street on the outskirts of Mineola. More or less forgotten by the city, the street is in desparate need of repairs! The potholes, however, is not the only reason one has to drive at a snail's pace, the street teams with children of all ages... usually in the middle of the road! The rental residents of the south part of Kevin Street seems to be a frenzy of loud activities both day and night. Once you make it to the North end of the street you'll notice a lighter, more relaxed feel.

"Best of town and country."

Peachtree Street is situated on the eastern edge of Mineola. Running North and South it connects East McDonald Street/Hwy49 and Mimosa Drive/Farm Market Road 1801. Large trees, spacious lawns, quiet neighborhood, grassy meadow views, the residents here live in peace and relaxation. Ideally situated on the outskirts of town, Peachtree offers easy access to shopping and dining while maintaining a peaceful 'country' feel.

"Unsafe street to even visit!"

Krause Street runs west to east in Mineola from Stone Street to South Johnson Street. Even though Krause Street only stretches two blocks, it is in a very dangerous neighborhood. Drug use goes unchecked, and the crime rate is climbing. Krause Street is within walking distance to the downtown area, complete with all the town has to offer, but with the dangers present here I would not recommend this street for consideration to live on.

"Only apartments along Goodson Circle."

Goodson Circle houses income subsidized apartments for low income families. The street is lined with the brick apartment houses on small grassy lawns. The lack on trees gives this street an unfriendly feel, but the residents here are usually fairly friendly. Goodson Circle offers its residents a convenient coin operated laundry room next door to the main office. Good supervision and police patrols makes this a pretty safe neighborhood.

"Quiet neighborhood, beautiful homes, friendly people!"

Circle Drive is simple a wonderful street to live on or even just visit! Circling off East McDonald Street, this peaceful neighborhood sports big brick homes shaded by large trees on perfectly manicured lawns. Residents are eager to meet and greet visitors who drive past with a friendly wave and a honest smile!

"High crime and drug problems!"

Elliott Street runs East to West on the South side of Mineola from one block east of Wren Street to South Johnson. Like many streets here on the south side of the tracks, Elliott St. has a big problem with, both the usage of and the selling of illegal drugs and therefore crime and even racial hostilities. I would not recommend this street to anyone who values home security!
