"a terrific place to live if you can find a space available"

highly unlikely though. its a really industria block in Greenpoint Brooklyn, surrounded by the Polish speaking transplants and descended families of those from the homeland. Theres loads of ethnic food within just a few blocks...post office...McCarren Park just 2 blocks. The rent is TOO expensive over there, however and the building i lived in was once a pie factory. Expect to pay upwards of $2300 per month. its a short block and the bread trucks come and go at all hours of the day and night. My building was filled with pro skaters and artists, so my neighbors were all around pretty cool...bbq in the streets on weekends and a full fledge skate park out front during the afternoons. If you are a pretty well off artist, it could be a great place to live..but chances are, you'll never be able to find a joint on this block. I happen to be a real estate broker and know all the landlords in the area, so if you're just dying to move over there, look me up and i'll see what I can do. Just google "LoftNinja"
