This area is now more commonly know as...Culver City Arts District. The main draw are the galleries, Helms Bakery, and close proximity the Metro rail. Also, the Ballona Creek bike path makes a great bike ride to the beach.

"Catching On Fast!"

Very charming historical neighborhood. One of the last affordable spots west of Downtown. A new charter school has started. In addition to being so close to USC, Westsiders fed up with escalating prices from bidding wars are catching on.

"Historical District"

3rd Street has some beautiful historic homes, and is named a historic district by the City of Santa Monica. "The Third Street Neighborhood Historic District boundaries consist of the area bounded on the east by the rear property line of the parcels on the east side of Third Street; bounded on the south by Hill Street including the parcels on the south side of the street but excluding the parcel on the southeast corner of Hill Street and Third Street; bounded on the west by the rear property line of the parcels on the west side of Second Street; and bounded on the north by Ocean Park Boulevard."
