"Southside East-West Arterials"

(4 or 6 lane Arterial)
A great street to shop, eat, and drive on!To live? Not too much;rough-ish part of town. But from the train tracks to about 3rd Avenue there are lots of food and shopping places. The area between Orange and the I5 was rebuilt and upgraded in the late 1990's so driving that stretch is pretty smooth and well lit.

"It's an OK Street"

(4 lane Arterial)

Starts at the Interstate 5/E Street Exit.Runs East until Bonita Road/Flower Street. From the freeway to 2nd Ave, it is straight and flat so it's good to drive. Also the street is well lit at night as well.Anywhere West of 4th&E it gets a little rough(street and community itself).

"Great Eastlake Parkway Bypass"

(2,4, and 6 Lane Arterial Street)

Starts JNO Proctor Vly Road and winds down to Eastlake Pkwy.It can be used as an ALT of ELP because some claim Eastlake Parkway is "busy".From Proctor Vly to River Rock(Side street) it has one lane up,one lane down. From River Rock down to Olympic there are 4 lanes. And from Olympic down to streets end, it has 6 total lanes. The area from Olympic South opened in 2007.Not much to see and there is nothing really on it.It feeds you into the residental areas on both sides.

"Not as bad As You think"

(4 Lane Arterial Street)
Has a bad rep for the NW and SW parts of the city but it's not that bad.In the northern part of Broadway a lot of small shops, auto stores, and small eat out places. The south side has more fast food,mall,7Elevens,Target,Wal*Mart,Cosco.Apartments on this street may have crime problems.

At night after 11PM,if you drive the speed limit(35MPH) lights will turn green as soon or before you get there. The only cross streets that have an exception are H,Palomar,Anita and Main.
