"Upgrading Central Ave"

The Riverside Plaza, located on Central Avenue, received a recent makeover and has become the shopping destination for central Riverside! The additions of restaurants, shops, and a movie theater have attracted many to the Plaza. The upgrades have been felt on many other businesses on Central as well, from gas stations to mattress stores. With all of the grand openings have also come some closures including a furniture store and the Hollywood Video to name a couple. All and all Central Ave is a great part of Riverside with a lot to offer!

"Caution: Teenagers Crossing"

Nixon is a residential street that backs to Notre Dame High School. I attended this school for all for years, making some friendships of a lifetime and graduating with my husband! Also on Nixon is the parking lot that NDHS uses for additional student parking. Where this area will be very quiet during the weekends and breaks, the school days are a different story. Plan to see the students walking to and from campus, ditching classes to hang out at "Nixon," not to mentiton student drivers! Proceed with caution!

"Connecting the Cities"

When you exit the 60 freeway at Valley Way, it soon becomes Armstrong Drive. Armstrong runs from Riverside to Bloomington and if you turn north at the biggest intersection at Sierra, you will soon be in Fontana. This street has always had a lot of congestion from the commuters that use it to connect them from the 10 to 60 freeways. Recently with long needed street repairs, traffic has reduced dramatically!

"Great Street for North Riverside"

Locals prefer to have Rorimer Drive considered to be part of Sunnyslope versus Rubidoux. This street includes tract homes of Arbor Creek and older custom homes. It is a very quiet neighborhood that is surrounded by hills including Rattlesnake mountain. While growing up on this street, I remember encountering one suck rattlesnake on my front porch!
