"Best kept secret" is an overused term but in this case, it's true. There are 95 "0" lot line homes from 2200 to 5500 sf with the average home around 3000 sf. It has a single entrance which makes Chalfont extremely safe and private - there is no drive thru traffic.
There are multiple neighborhood events during the year with the two favorites being Christmas and 4th of July. Christmas is a progressive dinner at three homes. Most homes were build in the 80s and 90s and all are custom and different. The 4th is an outdoor event which includes a parade with children and grand children around the circle followed by a cookout followed by viewing the fireworks at the Prestonwood C.C. which is adjacent.
Walkers and dog walkers walk at all hours and it is difficult to walk the neighborhood without stopping a few times to chat with neighbors. Chalfont is mostly an "empty nester" neighborhood although there are several children who attend private schools in the area.
Chalfont is located in Far North Dallas off of Preston Road just north of Arapaho near a wide variety of retail stores and restaurants and near the Dallas Tollway.
