"Slow and Easy Living with a Bike Path"

Mercury Drive is located in Grand Haven Township, within a mile or so just outside the city of Grand Haven, a quaint lakeside (Lake Michigan) town of about 10,000 residents. The dwellings on Mercury Drive are an interesting blend of newer tract homes and more erstwhile structures built decades a ago. The home we live in for instance, was built one hundred years ago on what was then a dairy farm. You really couldn’t ask to live in a more pleasant, peaceful, crime-free neighborhood, with banks, schools, shopping centers, and a post office all within a couple of miles. There’s a wide, newly paved bike path that runs down our street towards downtown Grand haven. During the spring and summer many of our neighbors go on bike rides into the city. It’s slow and easy living. If it weren’t for the sometimes harsh winters, our neighborhood would be almost perfect.
