"Nice Neighborhood for Tennis Lovers"

Freemont Park is North of 134 to W. Glenoaks Blvd. A smaller community in Glendale that features Freemont Park. The park is operated by the City of Glendale. It features 8 well-maintained tennis courts, and a nice playground. The West end of the neighborhood is home to nice-size homes with an array of architectural styles; Tudors, Spanish Colonial Revival, bungalows and many with additions. Prices range from $400 to $600 but mostly in the 4's. The Eastern end of the neighborhood is a mix of single family homes, businesses and apartment buildings. The location is great for a commute, but you will hear the constant hum of 134...especially the homes backing to it on Patterson Avenue.
Pros
  • Nice homes and lots
  • Beautiful Park
  • Convenient to freeways
Cons
  • noise from freeway

"Very Upscale...Great Option for Buyers Looking for an Upscale Suburban Feel"

La Canada Flintridge is a beautiful area that feels like a neighborhood sitting within a country club...but it's not. The homes are maintained perfectly with yards larger than neighborhoods located further West. The area has many mature trees which adds to the charm. The various stores along Foothills Blvd. are set back and landscaped...not like your typical LA strip mall roads. There are several excellent private school options in addition to the highly ranked public schools (according to U.S. News 2013 Academic Readiness Indicators). If you have a good chunk of change to spend, and want to be in an upscale suburban community within a commute to LA...La Canada Flintridge is an excellent choice.
Pros
  • Upscale Suburban
  • Charming
  • Large Manicured lawns

"An oasis in Glendale Close to Shopping and Parks"

A beautiful community with historic mansions built in the first half of the 1900's adjacent to Brand Park and Library. A quiet community with well-maintained yards and trees. During my last tour through El Miradero I noticed Mother's out with strollers walking towards Brand Park, people eating in a small village area called "Kenneth Village" (Located off of Kenneth Road). It has the feel of a small oasis when you drive East from the strip malls and restaurants closely situated on Glenoaks Blvd. The best part is that El Miradero is close to everything including; 5 for your commute, all types of restaurants and a short drive to West Hollywood if you are interested in more nightlife. Prices are obviously on the higher end given the aesthetic feel of the community and proximity to LA.
Pros
  • An oasis close to LA
  • Beautiful Homes
  • Great Park
  • Historic Neigbhorhood
