"Superior-Above the rest!!"

I have lived here for almost a year now and I have to say there's just something about Superior that keeps you thinking about it. It isn't particularly clean or scenic, there aren't a whole lot of high-paying jobs (late spring is the best time to find work here), and a lot of the buildings are pretty old. The roads are ok, but lacking on a lot of the secondary streets and nightlife is kind of exciting, but limited to bars and nightclubs. It's not much of a "party town" but because Duluth, Minnesota has a smoking ban, most of them come to Superior to kick back and have a good time.

Most parts of the city are close to but not technically on Lake Superior. There are two beautiful parks in the city, Billings Park on extreme western edge on the St. Louis River, and Wisconsin Point, which is miles of uninterrupted sand beaches on Lake Superior. Also, two wonderful Wisconsin State Parks, Pattison and Amnicon Falls are within a half an hour of downtown. It is spread out, but that is kind of nice because for a city of 27,000, it has a dozen or so distinct seperate neighborhoods.

Not much else to say except come up and visit sometime in the summer. You'll be glad you did.
