American History is rich in New York City, and a less popularized attraction is the Museum of The American Indian. This is one of the best museums on Native Americans in America, and is a wonderful place to learn more about the history and culture of the fascinating minority group. The street itself is beautiful and nearby several sights ranging from Ground Zero to the bustling Financial District. It is also near the beautiful Battery Park, with wonderful views of the Hudson and East Rivers. From there, you can get great views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
