"Great place for people who like quiet streets"

St. James is a great street to raise a family since there are so many parks, libraries, and schools in the neighborhood. The is a very quiet street which is lined with brownstones. There is also alot of transporation options like the g train, c train, and alot of different buses. Also Pratt and St. Joseph College is in the neighborhood. How can u go wrong ??

"Better than Bed Stuyvesant"

I lived on St. James Place over five years ago before it had become gentrified. I'll be honest, it was a pretty scary walk home from the subway (which is only two blocks away). It has gotten a lot better in the past few years. There are lots of young people living there because the rent is relatively cheap, and you can walk a little ways to Fort Greene, which has lovely buildings and architecture.
