"Busy and more than a little scary"
SW Roxbury Street has been endowed with a stigma of unsafe living and visiting, for good reason. While the White Center area has been doing a very commendable job of cleaning up this section of Seattle, the area still attracts more than its fair share of unsavory characters. Most of the businesses and shops in the area are run down and don't look all that attractive, and the newer mall and businesses seem a bit out of place for now. The homes range from well kept and pretty to nearly abandoned-looking, though prices are on the low side. The area offers a quick jaunt to downtown Seattle and access to freeways and highways out of town is nice. Until the area is cleaned up more, though, the section is hit-or-miss for its accommodations.
