"From a quaint "downtown" to nice residences"
The road shoots off of Des Moines Memorial Drive on the east side of Hwy 509 to the water of Puget Sound. Along the way, you may encounter some quaint little shops through a sort of "downtown" area in Burien. Several local pubs and restaurants line the road between 1st Ave S. and Ambaum Blvd. Not to be missed is Mick Kelly's on the west side of 4th Ave SW. Burien's King County Public Library branch recently moved to the corner of 4th Ave SW and SW 152nd St. The city planted trees along the sidewalks in typical Seattle style. The sidewalks are ample for pedestrians and there is plenty of street parking, as well as a new public lot. Traveling further west, you enter some pretty nice neighborhoods. The quiet solitude of these single-family homes offers a great place to raise a family. At the end, a very quiet, very beautiful neighborhood offers water views to the spectacular homes found there.
