"Not A fun street"
It's busy and loud. There are plenty of things to do along this street. Plenty of shopping and restaurants. But it really is not clean and welcoming. It is Highway 26 through Portland to Gresham. And is not made for anything but driving on through. It is hard to navigate to local businesses once you reach the area where they have the tree lined dividers in the middle. But there are some great restaurants like the 24 hour Hotcake house on 10th and Powell.

"Uuuuuuugly! Don't bother!"
One of the most ghetto streets in Portland, Powell is Hwy 26 and runs all the way East to Gresham. It's pretty trashy the whole way through with a lot of sketchy people and a bunch of strip clubs. There's a lot of traffic and a bunch of strip malls. The one redeeming quality is a new brew pub named Hopworks Urban Brewing up on SE 35th(?) I believe. The one place on Powell to check out. The rest? Take it back.
