"great area to live"

Nice homes on large lots. Great neighbors. Easy access to major freeways, shopping areas and eating places.

gene Oops, I better write better reviews, my street cred is very low! Anyway, Sammamish was rated #11 on a recent Best Places to Live survey in Money Magazine (2007). This actually came as a big surprise to the folks in Sammamish, not because they didn't agree, but because they weren't really seeking or expecting it. Sammamish does has some strains as it grows up. The population is expected to double over the next 20 years which will add to traffic issues. A new city center is about to be built and how that shapes up will have a huge impact on the feeling and livability of the city. How the city handles the growth and transportation issues will also make a big difference. The city tends towards the prosperous side and has a lot of people who work in various high tech companies in the area such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Expedia and many others. AdamS Great follow up gene! The more information the better for people looking to buy in Sammamish :)

Interesting to know that there are a lot of tech companies in the area, something I didn't know. I don't suppose you are part of the Sammamish tech industry?

gene Yes I am. I have worked for Amazon for the last 10 years and have many friends in the area working for the companies I mentioned and many others too. It is an easy commute into downtown Seattle from Sammamish or to Redmond (Microsoft) or Kirkland (Google).
