"Great time saver street."
The pride and joy of the city, and this is completely my opinion, has to be the infamous Disneyland theme park. Perhaps because I was raised in Anaheim, the magic of this coveted attraction just doesn’t have that “umff” factor I think it holds for out-of- towners and tourists.
With that said the traffic created by the “magic kingdom” seekers can sometimes create more of a hassle than a warm fuzzy feeling while I’m trying to maneuver around town. A street I love to take when I have to make it across town sooner rather than later, is Walnut St.
It’s a small residential street that begins at Santa Ana St. and continues straight through to Katella Ave. The two major streets that run parallel to Walnut St. are Euclid St. to the west and Harbor Blvd. to the east. Both of these alternate routes are riddled with traffic lights and plenty of traffic to eat up your time. On Walnut though there’s only about two stop signs and two traffic lights you’d have to encounter and very minimal traffic if at all. Since it’s somewhat of a hidden stretch within a residential area, I like to think of it as a hidden gem for the anti-traffic connoisseur.
