"Battery Park City"

The financial district gets the coldest in the winter because it is by the water and the multiple skyscraper buildings in that region create pockets of wind tunnels. In the summer, however, battery park is beautiful and it runs all the way through the west side of new york on the hudson. taxes are significantly higher thanks to up-keeping battery park and higher security but when you live here, you really are paying for those perks anyway. oh and the views can be phenomenal!

"The Surburban Side of New York"

Located in the southern portion of Battery park City, so its relatively less congested. A new elementary school will be built two blocks away, so the location is ideal for parents with children. Great open spaces (Hudson River Park & Battery Park) and views of the Hudson River. Negatives are the relatively higher turnover rate of the residents compared to say, the Upper West side due to the dominance of one bedroom apartments and a large percentage of non-native new Yorkers.
