"Italian Philly at its best"
South Ninth Street is home to Philadelphia's Italian Market perhaps made famous in the Rocky movies. The Market features stalls selling fresh meats, cheese, vegetables, and delicious desserts such as cannolis. Also along Ninth Street are a number of small restaurants that are well known for their weekend brunches. One of the most popular, Sabrina's, often has a 2 hour wait on weekends. This wait can be partially avoided by calling ahead and getting put on their list. The area around the Italian Market is a mix of row homes, some of which are quite rundown and others which have been recently renovated. The area is beginning to be revitalized in the past few years. Parking is available on the street if you have the patience to look for it.
