"This area doesn't draw too many visitors"
There’s a Thai restaurant on this street called Sea that isn’t bad. It’s a little out of the way, though, if you are doing the Williamsburg tour during your vacation – just about all that the neighborhood has to offer is a bit north. As Williamsburg gets more and more expensive, though, neighborhoods a bit further from the city have become much more appealing.

"Cool industrial area with great bars and clubs"
Some of the best indie bands play shows and frequent this street because of the clubs and bars. I have seen Devendra Banhart at the East River Baron this street. The atmosphere is really chill and unpretentious and I think the weirder you are the most accepted you will be. This street can be a little scary at night. I suggest walking in groups in this area.
