"Close to everything the neighborhood offers"
South Second Street in Williamsburg is close to all of the nightlife and other youth commodities that the neighborhood has to offer. It’s a safe street, and can be pretty quiet most of the time. You have to walk a bit to really get into the main restaurant and shop area of the neighborhood, so it’s a good place to live if you like a relatively quiet street.

"Away from the crowds"
South 2nd Street is a great street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn because it is away from the crowds. Still somewhat untouched by the real estate boom, South 2nd street still has the flavor of old Williamsburg, before it became gentrified. Go take a quick walk there from the L station subway stop and you will get a taste of this flavor. Check out the great Mexican restaurant on the block, and if you feel like taking a walk to Manhattan, just walk a few blocks to the bridge!
