"STRAIGHT HOOD>>>IF NOT BORN & RAISE DON'T COME!!!"
I was born here and as far as I could remember it has always been a rough neighborhood. The "hood" or the development is surrounded by the several other housing projects but yet it is isolated, which encourages the violence even more. Half of the residents here live below the poverty line and is receiving assistance. The neighborhood is infested with drugs and gang activity.
There are a lot of public schools in the area such as J.H.S. 131 Albert Einstein, P.S. 069 The New Vision School, and P.S. 152 Evergreen. The subway to catch here is the 6 line which goes along the Westchester Ave. Soundview has been nick named "The Murder Capital" of New York. I would not recommend anyone moving here.
