Siskiyou St, Westminster

Like they say, there is always an exception to a rule, and Siskiyou Street in Westminster is that exception (just do not ask me how to pronounce it). One of my friends lives here and I was super surprised at the neighborhood the first time I went to her house. The streets and lawns were nicely maintained and the cars parked in the streets did not make me feel like my new car would be the flashing target for all the neighborhood thieves.

This street is all single-family homes, which I believe makes a difference when it comes to pride of ownership. After all, the managers of an apartment complex probably only come by every so often to check on the exterior of their properties; and why spend money that could be going in their pocket?

The location is great (right next to the 22 freeway) and super quiet. There is an elementary school a block over that your kids can walk home from (although, at night...I don't know). If you drive down Goldenwest, a short distance away is a Home Depot, Albertsons, Post Office, PetSmart and a few other odds and ends stores in a strip mall. There is also a movie theater, but, it borders on the ghetto side, as far as weird smells and condition.
