"Quiet, Low Key Neighborhood"

Highland Meadows is a quiet, low-key neighborhood in Dallas that feels less crowded and more natural than many parts of town. Located on the edge of the greater Lake Highlands neighborhood, Highland Meadows contains both single-family homes and a number of apartment and townhome complexes. With plenty of trees and creeks, many homes in the neighborhood benefit from large back yards, creek views and a sense of seclusion not available in many parts of Dallas.

Families considering Highland Meadows should take school districts into consideration when selecting their home, as the neighborhood is divided among the struggling Dallas ISD and the much more stable Richardson ISD. Retail in the area is nothing to write home about, but residents of Highland Meadows don’t have to go far to find anything they might need. While the single-family subdivisions are generally safer areas in the neighborhood, there is no need for excessive concern about crime.

As for recreation, Highland Meadows offers easy access to most of Lake Highlands’ attractions, the most notable being White Rock Lake. While not within walking/biking distance, the lake is only a short drive away, as is the Arboretum, another beautiful destination on a nice day. Overall, the neighborhood offers a variety of residential options with all the amenities you’d expect in a big city, while still maintaining a smaller town feel.
