"A fun, busy place to live."

Plantation is located in southern Florida, within miles of beaches, dowtown Ft. Lauderdale, and endless shopping possibilities. It is a busy place with a diverse population and an endless amount of things to do.

The beaches are clean and beautiful with soft, white sand and clear water. There are many outstanding malls and shops on every street, as well as unique restaurants and outstanding food chains. There are some extremely friendly people and others that don't understand the language, which makes Plantationg a fun place to meet people from all walks of life. The nightlife is just a short drive away to either downtown Ft. Lauderdale or a farther drive to Miami. There are numerous clubs and bars that will satisfy whatever you're liking.

The way the road system is set up makes it extremely easy to find places and not get too lost. However, the lack of tall signs makes it difficult to locate each and every establishment within strip malls.

Altogether, Plantation is a fun place to live and/or visit. If you like tanning at the beach all day, shopping in endless malls, or eating whatever you like at anytime, this is the place to be.

jay-stahlj Plantation has no beaches time I looked. As far as the sand goes, it is not soft or white. It is very grainy and hard on the feet. Those beaches mentioned are in Fort Lauderdale, about a 35 to 40 minute drive. If you want fine, soft, white sand, you have to go to the west coast an hour and a half to two hours away.
